NEW CD "H8 BAY-6" OUT IN FEBRUARY 2002 !!!!!!

Sultan aren't a average hip-hop commune, they are phenomenal!

The impending release of the "Sultan" EP, their first set on Mantra Records, already has underground hip-hop heads fiending for Sultan. Chock full of dazzling lyrical escapades that delve into the mind of a violently warped and vulgar yet extremely talented wordsmith, the 7-cut collection contains some of the most memorable and demented lyrics ever recorded.

A plenty of bootylicious brand-new tracks make the new full length LP worth to get. Each tune of the revolutionary new album "H8 BAY-6" is sure to paralyse meek listeners with its relentless lyrical assault. Produced primarily by long-time collaborators DJ Francir (former MC) and MC Maksmir (former DJ), the LP features excellent beatwork.

Famous Josef Pelham was so impressed after hearing Sultan freestyling on a Neuperlach radio station event that he joined the studio productions and supported the Munich rhymers with his big big big dick dick dick. Yeah, everybody digs Sultan! But like many other rappers, Sultans' rise to stardom was far from easy. Rap, however, became Sultans' solace and their musical focus remained constant. The rich influences of Buddhism and Arabic culture is still forming their work - as you can hear on tracks like "Bacaan Al Sultan" and "Galgant Carneval". This time these turntable-heroes also used some acoustic instruments in an experimental way to achieve alternative musical horizons.

Sultan released their genius debut EP "Sultan" in 1998 and it took them three years of hard work to create the worthy successor. While Maksmir was on the run for some paralysing hypnotic inspiring experiences (meditating in Bhutan, slaying in Mongolia and surfing in Hawaii), Francir made some worldwide connections to urban Hip Hop-giants and R'n'B-business-bastards, founded an innovative high-tech shit-shop and prepared the resurrection of Sultan in the Oberwiesenfeld resident. So their new release contains lots of pimps and introduces some of the greatest kings in bizz: Ali Mente, long lost brother of glory Mohammed Mente; Tom Bola al Brachmaan, ebbe noch brunnere grabbe in Tansania jez auf unsere Showbühne; Grashaus, a beautiful female voice from nirvana-heaven; etc.

All in all the record - produced at Brunsvick-Kaserne Augsburg in 1999 and Loy's Lane Studio in 2001 - combines many different styles of Hip Hop, R'n'B, Soul, Funk, Drum & Bass, 80s Disco, Country and multi-cultural Folklore. This hot stuff has got to be yours to complete an excellent record collection. Buy it and you will understand the meaning of life! Touch the sky, baby!
